Booking redesign: from buried book button to best-in-class UX, per 2 studios.
UX audit and full redesign of a multi-vertical hospitality booking platform (hotels, coworkings, beauty centers) in Spain. The client had a vibe-coded website with high traffic but poor conversion. Reliqio analyzed analytics, identified UX friction points, benchmarked against Airbnb and Booking.com, and delivered production-ready Figma designs with a design system.
Challenge.
High visitor volume but critically low conversion rates, poor LTV, and weak UX. The booking CTA was buried, navigation was confusing, imagery undermined trust, and the third-party booking processor (Bats24) was awkwardly embedded via iframe.
Solution.
Conducted a full-funnel analytics audit (Hotjar, Mixpanel, Google Analytics). Mapped user journey drop-off points. Benchmarked against Airbnb and Booking.com. Redesigned the entire platform with clear search filters (location, dates, guests), vertical-specific detail pages (hotels, beauty centers, offices), integrated Google Reviews via API, and Mapbox-powered interactive maps. Built a component-based design system in Figma for both desktop and mobile. Guided the client on using Claude Code and MCP servers for Figma-to-code implementation.
Impact.
Every recommendation was connected to specific business metrics — retention, conversion, and LTV. The redesign addressed the core conversion bottleneck: the buried book button, confusing navigation, and trust-eroding visuals. The client independently validated design quality with two external studios, who confirmed “Airbnb/Apple-tier quality”. Hard metrics are pending — the client is currently building the coded version, and this case study will be updated with conversion, retention, and LTV data post-launch.
