Skin analysis app design: from thin 3-screen brief to 5 investor-ready pages.
Mobile app design for SkinSight, a Paris-based AI-powered skincare analysis startup. The client, sourced via Dribbble, initially requested 3 screens; Reliqio expanded the scope to 5 screens after proper discovery, including target audience analysis and competitor research.
Challenge.
The client needed a polished, investor-ready mobile app design for an AI skincare analysis tool. The initial scope of three screens was insufficient to convey the full product vision, and the design had to speak to a specific target demographic.
Solution.
Conducted a half-day discovery: target audience profiling (age, sex, skin concerns), competitor analysis, and mood board creation. Expanded the scope from three to five screens with client agreement. Designed a comprehensive skincare app with a dashboard, guided scan flow, AI-driven daily routines, community, and profile settings.
Impact.
Delivered investor-ready designs that enabled the client to pursue additional funding. The UX was designed for daily engagement and habit formation — routine tracking, check-ins, progress visualization — structurally aimed at retention and LTV. No post-launch metrics are available.
Features.
AI utilization.
The product itself is AI-native — AI powers the skin scan analysis, generates personalized care plans, and provides daily insights based on user data (sleep, stress, hydration, nutrition). Claude was used during the design process for feature ideation. Reliqio designed the AI UX, not the AI model.
